Display all commands

To see all commands available on your computer:

  1. Open a terminal window and press the Tab key twice.
  2. When it asks if you want to display all commands, type y and press the Enter key.
  3. Press the Enter key to see more commands than currently fit on your screen. Do this repeatedly to see them all.
  4. Quit the display and return to the prompt at any time by pressing the q key.

To see only all commands starting with a certain letter:

  1. Type any letter.
  2. Press the Tab key twice.
  3. When it asks if you want to display all commands, press the y key and press the Enter key.
  4. Press the Enter key to see more commands than currently fit on your screen. Do this repeatedly to see them all.
  5. Quit the display and return to the prompt at any time by pressing the q key.
