Automatic Login

Ubuntu

  1. Open System
  2. Open Administration
  3. Open Login Window
  4. Provide your password.
  5. Open the Security tab.
  6. Check the Enable Automatic Login option.
  7. Choose your username from the drop-down list.
  8. Save.
  9. Close the window,

Kubuntu

KDE3

  1. Open a terminal window.
  2. Type this command:
  3. /usr/bin/X11/kcontrol
  4. Press the Enter key.
  5. Open System Administration
  6. Open Login Manager
  7. Open the Convenience tab.
  8. Check the Enable Auto-Login box.
  9. Choose your username from the drop-down list.
  10. Save.
  11. Close the window,

KDE4

  1. Open a terminal window.
  2. Type this command:
  3. kdesudo /usr/lib/kde4/bin/systemsettings
  4. Press the Enter key.
  5. Select Advanced
  6. Select Login Manager
  7. Select Convenience
  8. Check the Enable Auto-Login box.
  9. Choose your username from the drop-down list.
  10. Save.
  11. Close the window,
